NEI2022: Noite Europeia dos Investigadores
A night dedicated to the science of the environment! Our project had its presence noticed in The European Researchers’ Night, which is a Europe-wide public event that displays the diversity of science and its impact on citizens’ daily lives in fun and inspiring ways.

Workshop- An Optimization Work to Reduce Forest Fire
The team met at the Design Institute of Guimarães on June 8 for a full day of discussing ideas and staying up to date with project latest advances, as well as planning the next work to keep the project moving forward smoothly.

Field work in Baião
On April 11, some members of our team conducted fieldwork in Baião, in order to collect important data for the work developed within our project. We would especially like to thank Baião City Council and the volunteer firemen of Baião and Sta.Marinha do Zêzere, for all the help and guidance provided.

UPA- Uminho Portas Abertas
On the April 7-9th, we participated in an activity organized by Minho University- UPA. This activity consists in providing an opportunity for the youngest students to become more acquainted with the various types of work developed at the university, as well as to know more personally the academic environment.

Baião
We visited the area where the great fire of 2019 occurred, in Baião. We took the opportunity to discuss some details of the fire and the conditions that lead to it with the firefighters of Baião. At the afternoon, the team composed by different representatives of each of the 3 universities made presentations that lead productive discusses about the project.

11 team members, conducted visit by Engª. Sandra Pinto, technique of the Associação Florestal do Vale do Sousa, wich runs the Forest Intervention Zones – ZIF.
